How it works
How Lohi works
Lohi uses your Apple Watch to notice when a meal starts, count bites per minute and invite a pause with one light tap when the pace gets quick.
1. It notices mealtime
Every bite has a shape: hand to mouth, a short pause, hand back down. Lohi recognises that movement through your watch's motion sensors and quietly starts a meal. You don't need to open the app or press anything.
2. It counts your pace
During the meal, Lohi counts bites per minute and shows them as a ring that fills slowly, like a breath. Three zones keep it simple:
- Calm, up to 4 bites a minute: "Nice and easy."
- Steady, 4 to 6 bites a minute: "Steady pace."
- Fast, more than 6 bites a minute: "Try a little pause."
The limits are a starting point. You can adjust them in the app to match how you like to eat.
3. It invites a pause
If your pace stays in the fast zone, Lohi sends one light haptic tap to your wrist. That's it. Put the fork down, take a sip of water, say something to the person across the table. When you're back in the calm zone, the ring turns calm again.
4. It celebrates the calm
When the meal ends, Lohi shows a short summary: how long you took, a bar for every minute, and a kind closing line like "18 minutes. A lovely, unhurried lunch." On your iPhone you'll see your week at a glance.
